The problem
Educators have the expertise but rarely the time to structure it into a sellable course. The blank-page moment — figuring out modules, sequence, and lessons — is where new teachers stall and abandon onboarding. The opportunity was to use AI to take them from idea to a structured course quickly, so they reach value before they give up.
What I designed
- AI-assisted course planning. A flow where the AI assistant helps educators outline modules and lessons from their expertise — turning a blank page into a working structure in minutes.
- Onboarding that reaches value fast. Designed the path from sign-up to a first published course to minimize drop-off and get teachers to their "aha" quickly.
- Build, manage, monetize. Supported the core jobs of the platform — building courses, managing and chatting with students, and selling in-person, live, or self-paced classes.
Approach
I focused on the riskiest moment — the new educator's first session — and designed AI assistance that felt like a helpful collaborator rather than a black box. Every step earned its place by getting the teacher closer to a finished, sellable course, which is what made onboarding convert.
